Classic jets on show at Scampton Airshow media launch

Team FlyPast is at RAF Scampton today to hear about the latest plans for next month’s airshow, set to take place at the legendary airfield on September 9 and 10. Some intriguing classic jets have been brought out today. The Hunter is serial number ZZ191, the former German Air Force F-4 Phantom is 37+89 and the Sukhoi Su-22 is 98+14 – all belong to Hawker Hunter Aviation, which is based here.

Scampton airshow ambassador and former international rugby star Rory Underwood flew in for a guest appearance. He told FlyPast he was delighted to have a major airshow in Lincolnshire again.
