Kinloss Nimrod move begins

HS Nimrod MR.2 XV244, recently acquired by the Morayvia Heritage Centre, has been transferred from its temporary storage location.

The move from an MoD hangar at Kinloss, Scotland, to a hardstanding area, took place because of the prohibitive cost of keeping it in the hangar. The Nimrod will eventually be placed on display within Morayvia, also at Kinloss, and is currently being cared for by a team of ex-RAF engineers led by Sean McCourt.
