Flying Legends - two words which instantly evoke the very best of classic aircraft displaying at Duxford in one of the world's most celebrated air shows. The Fighter Collection and the Imperial War Museum are proud to present the 2012 event; another unmissable fusion of power, sounds and nostalgia.

If you are planning a visit to the show please book your hotel rooms early, Cambridge University graduation takes place around this time and hotel rooms may be scarce if you leave it too late.

Parking, Dogs and Traffic

Parking for everyone for both days of the show is free. There is plenty of parking both on the main site - and on the north side of the A505 where you will be in amongst the old Duxford station buildings.

Dogs are NOT allowed on the airfield as they pose a real threat to the aircraft, and they are VERY uncomfortable when left in the car all day so please leave them at home.

The Cambridgeshire Police have got the traffic control both in and out of the airfield at both ends of the day down to a fine art, but there may be queues both in parking and in leaving. Please be patient, and follow any directions you may be given. To avoid the worst of the queuing you are advised to arrive early - and to bring some packed tea with you so that your departure is a rather quieter affair than those who rush to leave.

The Imperial War Museum Duxford:
The Imperial War Museum is situated eight miles south of Cambridge, next to Junction 10 of the M11 motorway. Less than 50 miles from London and only half an hour from the M25. Easily accessible from the A1, M1 and the North.
Duxford's Courtesy Bus runs frequently from Cambridge Railway Station from 8am (Airshow days only.)
Park and ride is available from Junction 11, M11.
